Welcome to the OVP HEALTH Recovery Center, an 91-bed inpatient substance abuse treatment and recovery facility in South Point, OH and the soon-to-open OVP HEALTH Recovery Center in Massillon, OH.

The OVP HEALTH Recovery Center provides 24-hour/365-day residential care for male, female and pregnant female patients across Ohio, West Virginia and Kentucky. It is licensed by the state of Ohio to provide multiple levels of care as defined by the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM), including Clinically Managed Low-Intensity Residential Services (ASAM 3.1) to Medically Monitored High-Intensity Inpatient Services (ASAM 3.7WM).

At OVP HEALTH, our team of experienced physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, counselors, case managers and peer support specialists approach chemical dependency as a primary, progressive, chronic and potentially fatal disease. However, our team believes the symptoms of this disease can be managed through appropriate therapeutic interventions. Those interventions include both medication-assisted treatment (MAT) and abstinence-based options, and are guided by evidence-based best practices.

At the core of OVP HEALTH’s approach to care and treatment is the belief that counseling, both individual and group, is essential to changing unhealthy behavior and equipping patients with the needed coping mechanisms to deal with life’s stresses, without resorting to drugs and alcohol.

Finally, we realize that overcoming substance use disorder is a life-long battle that cannot be completely cured by a 30-day, inpatient stay at the OVP HEALTH Recovery Center. But for many people, it can be a life-saving start on the journey down the path to recovery – a journey made much easier by the continuity of care provided at OVP HEALTH’s many, conveniently located outpatient treatment and counseling centers across Ohio, Kentucky and West Virginia.
