(South Point, OH) The OVP HEALTH Recovery Center, at 335 Township Road 1026 in South Point, OH, has achieved a prestigious certification from the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM), a professional medical society representing over 6,000 physicians, clinicians and associated professionals in the field of addiction medicine.

A team of surveyors with The ASAM Level of Care Certification Program™ recently conducted an independent assessment of the OVP HEALTH Recovery Center, and found that it delivers care and services that are consistent with the rigorous standards described in The ASAM Criteria for levels of care 3.1 (Clinically Managed Low-Intensity Residential Services), 3.5 (Clinically Managed High-Intensity Residential Services) and 3.7 (Medically-Monitored Intensive Inpatient Services).

The certification helps to accurately differentiate between levels of care, highlight treatment programs that have evidence-based policies and procedures, and support adoption of standards of care to improve the quality of addiction treatment.
